Welcome
Hello and welcome to the Reto family blog. Let me introduce the family. (pictures to come) I’m Justin, my Mom is Valerie, and my Dad is David. Let me explain what we are doing. We are just an ordinary American family. If you had told us a year ago that we would be going to Africa, we probably would have laughed in disbelief. My dad thought he wasn't the "missionary type." But over the past year God has truly changed his heart. With God's help, we are now planning the adventure of a lifetime. Let me explain how this blog will work. We plan to make regular updates as things happen. When I finish a new video clip I will post it on our Youtube account. When we take interesting pictures or if anything interesting happens we'll post it here. So why are we going to Africa? We are first and foremost serving God by serving the people of Liberia through Acres of Hope. Our mission is to build an Aquaponics Training and Outreach Center outside of Monrovia, Liberia in West Africa. Aquaponics is the raising of fish and vegetables or other plants together in a self – sustaining system. So with our family blog we will be able to keep in touch with our family and friends by adding to this site when we can. Check back often to see what is going on with the Reto family.
